Our Vision & Mission

Psalm 1 and John 15 are the inspiration and foundation of the Roots to Fruits.

Psalms 1:3 paints a picture of a deeply rooted tree nourished by streams of water “which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.” If this deeply rooted tree is the effect, then Psalms 1:2 identifies that cause as people who “delight in the law of the Lord” and “meditate on his law day and night.” Jesus in John 15 brings similar imagery to his disciples saying “I am the vine…you are the branches.” He commands them to “remain in me, as I also remain in you” (John 15:4) and forecasts what happens to followers who embrace such a relationship. “No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine…If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:4, 6).

Our vision is deepening spiritual roots as we watch for divinely born fruit.

Our mission is cultivating spaces of noticing God, nurturing delight in his presence, and pursuing practical experiences in community that helps us watch for and pursue the fruit God is growing within and around us.
